Worth it for the annual plan

I was looking for a luggage tracker and found GEGO. I compared it to a few others, and the GEGO PRO seemed to offer a good balance of features for the price. I went with the annual service plan because it saved me a bit of money compared to paying monthly. The initial cost for the device and plan felt like a solid investment for the peace of mind. It arrived quickly and was easy enough to activate. I think it was a good value purchase.

Decent tracker, room for improvement

I got the GEGO PRO primarily for a travel bag. The tracking functionality was generally good, and I appreciated the Smart Flight Mode. Delivery was on time. My main gripe is that the battery life, while advertised as long, felt a bit shorter in real-world use than I expected, especially with frequent checks. It's not a deal-breaker, but something to keep in mind if you're going on a very long trip without access to charging. Overall, it's a reliable device, but a slightly beefier battery would make it perfect.

Pretty good for my golf bag

I picked up a GEGO GPS for my golf bag. It's not super cheap, but I didn't want to lose my clubs. It was pretty easy to get going. Just activated the service plan online. Tracking on my phone was accurate enough when I checked it. Felt good knowing where my stuff was, you know? It's a nice little gadget to have.

So happy with my GEGO PRO!

I absolutely love my new GEGO PRO! I used it for my recent trip, and it was so easy to set up and use. The Smart Flight Mode worked perfectly, and I knew exactly where my bag was the whole time. I'm definitely buying more for my other luggage. Highly recommend to everyone!

Good tracker, simple process

I ordered a GEGO PRO and an annual service plan. The website was clear, and checkout was straightforward. Shipping took about 5 business days to get to my home in California. The tracker itself felt sturdy, not cheap plastic. Setting it up was mostly intuitive, though I did consult the online guide for a couple of steps. The tracking accuracy seemed good when I tested it around town. It's a solid device for peace of mind.

What's the return policy like if I don't end up liking the GEGO PRO? Is it a hassle to send back?

L Lisa A. 1 month ago
Returns were pretty straightforward for me. Had to send one back because I ordered the wrong model, and it was a smooth process.

I think they have a standard return window, like 30 days or something. Just make sure it's in good condition and you've got the original packaging. Check their site for the exact terms, but I haven't heard of anyone having issues.

Is GEGO any good for tracking stuff through different countries? Like, if I'm flying from the US to Europe, will it still work fine for my luggage?

R Renee Foster 1 month ago
Yep, it's designed for international tracking. Uses multiple networks so it should pick up a signal pretty much anywhere you go.

Definitely. I took mine to Asia last year and it worked perfectly fine, even in more remote areas. That 4G LTE thing really helps.

I'm thinking about getting one of these for my golf bag, but concerned about the accuracy. Is it good enough to pinpoint a location if my bag gets lost at an airport?

M Mia D. 1 month ago
It's usually pretty accurate. Not like, street address accurate from space, but definitely good enough to show you what terminal or area your bag is in. Way better than just hoping it shows up.

From my experience, it's usually within a few meters, especially outdoors. Inside buildings or big airports, it might be a bit broader but you'll know the general vicinity. Better than an AirTag for distance tracking, for sure.

Does anyone know if the annual subscription actually saves you money compared to just paying monthly? Trying to figure out the best way to go.

S Sam Z. 1 month ago
Oh yeah, the annual plan is definitely cheaper in the long run. They usually give you a good chunk off compared to paying month-to-month.

For sure, an annual subscription is usually the way to go if you plan on using it consistently. You save a decent amount over the year.

Quick question about the Smart Flight Mode. How exactly does that work when you're actually on the plane? Does it just shut off completely or what?

M Mark Kim 1 month ago
It's pretty neat actually. It senses when you're in the air and automatically switches to a low-power mode, kinda like airplane mode on your phone. Then it reactivates when it lands, so it doesn't interfere with plane systems.

Nah, it doesn't just turn off. It goes into a safe, non-transmitting mode for the flight and then powers back up when you land. It's totally fine with TSA too.

How does this compare to an Apple AirTag? Is it worth the extra cost for the GEGO, or should I just stick with an AirTag for my luggage?

R Rosa 1 month ago
Gego is totally different. AirTags are good for finding something nearby, but Gego has its own cellular signal so you can track your bag even if it's across the country or in another country. It's more of a true GPS tracker.

Big difference! AirTags rely on other Apple devices nearby to ping its location. Gego has its own GPS and cellular connection, so you get real-time tracking from anywhere, even in a shipping container. Much better for actual long-distance luggage tracking.

Hey, anyone know if they do any special deals for first-time buyers? Thinking of getting a couple of these for my travel bags.

R Renee Marsh 1 month ago
Yeah, I think they usually have some kind of discount for new customers. Keep an eye out on their site or sign up for emails.

S Sarah D. 1 month ago
They often have a promo code for first orders, usually pops up when you hit the site or during checkout process. Just can't stack it with other bundle deals most times.
